Twenty-eight ladies participated in our March Par Event and conditions were Par-Fect! The weather was delightful, the course was looking good and we all set off ready to enjoy ourselves. The grass has thickened up after the recent rain and was quite reluctant to give up any balls that strayed from the fairways. The early morning dew had settled over the greens and a firm hand was often required to complete the hole. There was not much run to help us out so it came down to strength, accuracy and luck, as it does in this game.
Our Division One winners were Sue Beazley (-3) and Linda Weatherill (-4). In Division Two Angela Boadle and Jenny Brown were very happy to came home with a +1 and a square. And Division Three winners were Rickie Gilligan and Jill Downie with -3 and -6. Congratulations and well done to all our winners.
Nearest to the pins on the 4th hole were Robyn Moore and Bett Tucker, on the 17th Lyn Hatchman was the only winner and the Jackpot 12th hole went to Des Thornett and Robyn Moore. The ball rundown went to -7 and there were eight places. Well done ladies and that’s Par over for another month!
