The members heaved a sigh of relief today as it was back to “normal” competition with an 18 hole Stableford round, following four stroke games for the 2018 WGN Club Championships.
The competition was hot which matched the very warm conditions with the temperature rising to the 30 degree mark. With plenty of run on the course as a result of the dry weather there were several great scores. Although the greens were fast and there were some very tricky pin placements, there were plenty of ladies on their games.
In Division 1 Linda Weatherill played steady golf to win with 38 points on a count back from Gloria Davis also with 38. Robyn Moore clocked up a superb 41 points to take out Division 2 and Margaret Jennings continued on her winning streak from the Championships to finish in second spot today with 34 points. Ellen Ryan was on form to take the line honours in Division 3 with 34 points and close on her heels came Barb Howsan with 32.
The ball rundown went to 29 points.
