The competition was hot today for this popular annual 4 BBB event. Everyone was a little more relaxed in having a  partner to help take the pressure off and provide backup in case of disaster. The course was a little more conducive to the possibility of higher scores with the run on the fairways noticeably improved. The greens however, were fast and tricky with the preparations for the GNSW tournament being held next week providing more difficult conditions.

We marvel at how well our course has recovered and how hard our greens staff and volunteers have worked to get everything looking “tip top” so that all our visitors can enjoy their week of golf. There were absolutely no complaints about any of the conditions, particularly the weather which was clear, warm and bright and the river is back to its almost sparkling best after the recent heavy rain.

Being a team event today, there were no divisions and the prizes sponsored by Wendy Woodward were awarded to first and second places. Anywhere in the mid to high forties was the order of the day.

Linda Trusler continued on form and lined up with the strength of Robyn Moore to take out the first place honours with a resounding score of 47 points. Jan Buttle and Margaret Ford made another strong combination to claim second place with a very creditable 45 points on a countback from Ellen Ryan and Chris Tyrell who was visiting from Worrigee.
