It was yet another frosty, damp start to the morning for the 4BBB Stableford event with 16 pairs taking to the course. A team event always seems more relaxed as the pressure on the game can be shared with your partner but can be disastrous if both team members happen to be off their game on the same hole.  It was pretty tough with the very wet fairways not providing much run and the speed of the greens were varied depending on whether they were in the  sun or the shade.

Despite all that, the winning pair had absolutely no trouble and combined perfectly  to come in with a magic score of 45 points. Sandra England and Sue Stephens showed us all how it’s done. If one didn’t get a three pointer, the other did. There were no single pointers to be had for these two slick players, with both apparently putting in a beautiful performance – chipping and putting like a pair of professionals.

The second place award went to Di Pritchard and Joyce Wallace who would have been pretty chuffed with their 40 points and were able to hold their spot on a count back from Val Wilson and Wendy Phillips who also came in with 40 points.
