While we are all over the windy conditions, 29 ladies wee not deterred from getting out on the course to participate in the hotly contested annual “Left Handers vs Right Handers” competition. Unfortunately, with the absence of any rainfall of late, the course is getting more parched by the day. Certainly this creates much more run which in many cases creates advantage but it can also result in some disasters perhaps when playing towards bunkers, water courses and out of bound areas.

Final scores in all divisions were quite reasonable overall with the winners in each division having a decisive advantage in each case.

Cathy Ison managed to notch up a very neat score to take out the Division 1 top spot with 36 points while Robyn Moore, newly advanced to the division, has taken it by storm to claim the runner’s up prize with 33 points.

The Division 2 result was much more keenly contested between Wendy Phillips and Trish Austin. Wendy was victorious with 35 points to  get the trophy by a one point margin over Trish’s 34 points.

Di Pritchard continues on her winning streak. Her top performance today ensured that she recorded the best score on the course with 38 points. Donna Hewat, another consistent golfer since her comeback to competition, claimed the second spot with 31 points.

The ball rundown went to 31 points.

The left handers in the field were Des Thornett, Sue Stephens, Wendy Phillips and Michele Carey which gave a spread across the three divisions. The scores of four right handers of the same handicaps were compared to the “lefties to get the result. It was declared that the “righties” had won 118 points to 106.
