There were 33 lady members who took to the course this morning with high hopes that the early clouds and drizzle would clear to another sunny warm Spring like day for the 18 Hole Stableford event. They weren’t to be disappointed as the condition of the day gradually improved, providing a calm and pleasant temperature throughout the morning. The course, however, proved to be more of a challenge than expected as the overnight showers slowed down the run on the fairways and the greens were surprisingly speedy.
Those who managed to reach the high twenties to mid thirties in Stableford points were successful in the winning line-up and ball competition. Angela Boadle came up trumps in Division 1 to claim the winning score with a tidy 33 points and Jill Levi snuck into the second spot with a 30 points result.
Val Wilson figured again in the Division 2 winning circle managing to sneak into first place with 31 points ahead of Linda Trusler in a close second with 30 points.
The Division 3 winner, Jill Downie came in with the best score of the day with 34 points to her credit and Sue Davies did well to take the second prize with a creditable 31 points.
The ball competition went down to 27 points.
