You could be forgiven if you thought that Spring had sprung today! It was “purrfect” par weather of clear blue skies, lots of sunshine and warmth and not a breath of wind. A par round is always a test of the player against the course but the 27 ladies who played in the competition round today had a spring in the step and managed to produce some very acceptable scores.

In Division 1 Sue Beazley showed her good form again to come in square with the card and Sandra England was not far behind with minus 1 to claim the runner’s up prize. Shirley Moore pulled rabbits out of her hat today, playing some “magic” golf to end up with a plus 1 score. Margaret Jennings kept it steady all the way to finish in second spot with square. Anne Newton and Ricky Gilligan took out the honours in Division 3 with minus 1 and  minus 3 respectively.
