The Medal of Medals is competed by those players who have won a Monthly Medal within their respective divisions throughout the year. The qualifiers play off in a stroke competition to determine the winner which is the best nett score. The rest of the field also play a stroke round and are eligible to win the daily competition.

After some much needed rain the previous day, a glorious Spring morning greeted players for the annual Medal of Medals competition. With the course dampened, the ball run was reduced which reflected in the resulting higher nett scores.

Lyn Hatchman retained her good form following the Championships to come up trumps with the best nett score of the day to take out the Division 1 trophy and the Gold Medal with 75. Lyn was closely followed by Des Thornett in the runner’s up spot with a score of 76.

In Division 2 Val Wilson triumphed coming in with a 79 and Robyn Moore managed second place with 82. Jeanette Bright and Mary Stewart battled it out in Division 3 with 75 and 78 respectively.
