The Indian Summer is providing some stunning weather conditions at present and 31 ladies ventured out this morning with high hopes and much enthusiasm and the intention of conquering the course in our May Par event. As usual this was easier said than done in many cases, however some good scores were seen in the final results.

Angela Boadle really enjoyed her round and put in a sensational performance to produce the best score of the day in Division 1 with a plus two on the card. Well done Angela on your excellent golf.

Des Thornett managed to clinch second place with minus three on a count back from newly returned Cathy Ison. It was great to see Cathy’s and her good mate Linda Weatherill’s smiling faces back to competition and they certainly appeared to have a very jolly time.

In Division 2 Robyn Moore put in a creditable performance to win with a minus one score with Joyce Wallace coming in close on her heels to record minus 2.

Di Pritchard just keeps on keeping on the winners list in Division 3. She was successful in taking out the top spot again with a very fine plus one. Barbara Howsan played steadily to follow in second position with minus one.

Next week is our Women’s 36 Holes Foursome Championships. Please read the Conditions of Play before venturing out. If you hit off the odd numbered tees in the morning, you hit off the even numbered tees in the afternoon. Let’s hope the weather is kind to us again as it always is a long day. Good luck to all – enjoy.
